Summary

Vamos Academy is an international Spanish language school offering in-person classes in Buenos Aires, Málaga, and online, serving students from around the world.

Code Cobalt provided ongoing maintenance and feature development for a large, complex WordPress multisite supporting extensive course offerings, location-specific content, and 20+ languages. Our work focused on stabilizing multilingual functionality, maintaining e-commerce operations with Stripe, and ensuring the platform remained reliable, performant, and scalable as the academy continued to grow.

The Challenge

Vamos Academy’s website operates as a highly complex WordPress multisite with multiple physical locations, online programs, and a large volume of multilingual content.

The platform experienced critical multilingual reliability issues, including inconsistent menu and navigation translations, form localization failures, language switcher inconsistencies, and conflicts stemming from the interaction between multisite architecture and multilingual tooling.

The site required comprehensive translation coverage across navigation, forms, and content in all supported languages, along with technical SEO remediation and ongoing maintenance to ensure long-term stability across the multisite environment.

Our Solution

Code Cobalt implemented platform-level improvements to stabilize multilingual behavior across all sites and languages, ensuring translations functioned consistently throughout navigation, enrollment workflows, and content experiences.

We completed extensive translation and localization work across core navigation, mobile experiences, and key forms used for registration, contact, and online enrollment. Language-switching behavior was standardized across devices to provide a consistent experience for international users.

Additional work included improving overall platform reliability, resolving multisite configuration conflicts affecting multilingual behavior, maintaining secure and reliable email delivery, and performing ongoing optimization to support performance and long-term maintainability.

Results

Multilingual functionality is now stable and consistent across more than 20 languages, enabling students worldwide to reliably access information, enroll in courses, and complete workflows in their preferred language.

The platform now delivers a cohesive experience across all locations, programs, and devices, supporting Vamos Academy’s global audience with confidence.

Ongoing maintenance and platform improvements ensure the multisite remains dependable and scalable as content, languages, and course offerings continue to expand.

From the get-go, Jason was a breath of fresh air in a digital world often cluttered with mediocrity. I hired him through Upwork for a task that seemed daunting to me – implementing WPML and resolving a pesky mega menu translation issue on my WordPress site. But for Jason, it was just another day at the office. His approach was methodical yet innovative, a rare combination that speaks volumes about his expertise in the web development arena.
