The Challenge
State Crime Data needed a platform to sell arrest data to industry professionals.
The system required sophisticated account management supporting both individual users and corporate accounts with multiple team members. They needed flexible pricing models including tiered volume-based pricing that automatically adjusts based on usage, monthly billing cycles that charge for searches since the last billing date.
The platform needed advanced search functionality allowing users to query by date ranges, jurisdictions, and other criteria. Corporate accounts needed team member management with sub-user invites, ownership transfer capabilities, and shared search history. The platform also required comprehensive admin tools for managing accounts, viewing usage, and generating reports.
Our Solution
Code Cobalt developed a custom platform that provides real-time arrest data access.
We implemented a sophisticated account system with individual and corporate accounts, including admin invite functionality, user registration with company details, and team member management for corporate accounts.
We built tiered volume-based pricing that automatically applies the correct rate based on search volume. We implemented monthly billing cycles that charge for all searches since the last billing date.
We created advanced search functionality with date range queries, jurisdiction filtering, and the ability to pull entire jurisdictions within date ranges. We built search history tracking that shows team-wide results for corporate accounts. We implemented export/print functionality allowing users to download results as CSV or Excel files.
We integrated Stripe for secure payment processing and Postmark for email delivery. We created comprehensive admin dashboards with reporting and analytics to track usage, subscriptions, and business metrics.
