Background Investigations provides background check services for various industries including Department of Veterans Affairs, Public Safety, and Temporary Agencies.

Code Cobalt built a professional WordPress website using a template-based approach for cost efficiency, including custom branding, logo design, and content setup. Later, we added comprehensive e-commerce functionality with custom order forms for public background services and association-specific landing pages. The system includes Stripe payment processing, automated email notifications via Postmark to admin, customer, and subject, and SMS notifications via Twilio to subjects informing them of background check authorization requests.

The site needed to be easy to edit without heavyweight or overly featureful page builders like Elementor, and they wanted affordable hosting. Later, they needed e-commerce functionality to allow clients (including association members) to place orders for background checks online.
