Products Engineering Corporation, a precision tool manufacturer located in Torrance, California, aims to enhance their online presence and and initiate direct-to-consumer sales. As it stands, their old website lacks direct-to-consumer features. Additionally, their site’s design is outdated, inadequately representing their brand and products, as well as falling short in terms of accessibility and performance. Overall, their customer experience and potential sales growth are hampered. Any changes to the site must be made with care, as the old website is getting SEO traffic that they must protect. Finally, PEC plans to sell on other marketplaces alongside their website in the future, and they need to minimize the overhead of managing multiple channels.

Code Cobalt proposes a website expertly tailored to PEC’s needs as a precision tool manufacturer. The upgrade will featuring a clean, modern design and user-friendly interface. Our upgrade of the site will focus on preserving PEC’s existing SEO, as well as analyzing their traffic trends and SEO performance to further dial in their pages and content. The new design will focus on a professional look that improves the website’s accessibility and customer perception of PEC’s brand. The overhaul aims to improve overall site performance, leading to a streamlined and enjoyable user experience. The website will be developed with future integration of multi-channel inventory management in mind, enabling efficient management across various platforms, including Amazon. Finally, we will provide comprehensive support for the initial period post-launch, with options for subsequent training or premium sustained support.

Schedule and Project Flow

Design Consultation

Our process starts by collecting completed design and content questionnaires from you. We’ll analyze the data and conduct additional research, including conversations with you or your team, industry-related research, and competitor analysis. This step helps us gain a deep understanding of your unique business needs and develop a customized solution that meets your goals.

Homepage Prototype

We’ll start the prototyping phase by analyzing the data and creating a homepage prototype, which is the most important page on any website. We’ll establish design elements such as colors, fonts, and image choices that will be used on other pages throughout the website. We believe in a collaborative design process and provide unlimited revisions to the homepage design. Once you approve the homepage concept, we’ll design all the other pages that make up the website.

Inner Page Prototypes

After the homepage design is approved, we’ll move on to designing all the additional inner page layouts that will make up your website. We’ll design them together to ensure greater efficiency and submit multiple pages for your review at the same time. Like the homepage, unlimited revisions to the inner page designs are included in this proposal. Once you approve the internal page layouts, we’ll proceed to the coding phase.

Implementation

After you approve all page designs, we’ll code them into front-end languages such as HTML and integrate them with the WordPress CMS. You’ll be able to review the progress on our development server. At this stage, we’ll add interactive elements like animations, hover effects, and transitions, and make the website fully responsive and mobile-optimized. We’ll also add functionality like website logins, e-commerce cart and checkout, contact forms, and more.

Optimization and Testing

After initial development is complete, we’ll further optimize and test our work to ensure it’s error-free and provides an optimal user experience. We’ll use industry-standard testing software to maximize performance. At this stage, you’ll be able to review the completed work and provide any last-minute changes that are necessary before launch.

Launch

Once everything has been fully approved, we’ll launch the website on your hosting account. If you don’t have one, we’ll provide instructions on how to set it up. We will perform a final round of tests to ensure the website functions on your server as well as it did on ours, and then the website will go live!

Ongoing Support

We provide free support for the first 30 days after launch that goes beyond basic bug fixes and warranty. Our support package includes adding new content, modifying existing website features, and fixing bugs related to the agreed-upon functionality. We’re committed to ensuring that your website runs smoothly, even after it’s been launched. After 30 days, we offer paid support packages and training for you and your team.

Pricing and Payment Terms

We offer a total project quote of $2750, to build an upgrade of the legacy site with the modifications discussed above. If additional pages or features are requested at a later date, we can provide these at an additional cost. The cost will be divided into three milestones.

Milestone 1

30% is due after completion and your approval of the home page design concept.

Milestone 2

35% is due after completion and your approval of all unique inner page designs

Milestone 3

35% is due after completion, review, and final approval of the coded website prior to launch.
